What is Distance Reiki and how can it help me?
Distance Reiki is a simple and effective form of energy healing, which helps you to:

How does Distance Reiki work?:
At the subtlest level, everything in existence is comprised of ‘life force’ energy – including human beings. When a person is overall relaxed, healthy and living in tune with nature, the energy flow throughout their system will be free-flowing, balanced and vital. However, if they experience excessive challenges (such as a severe accident or living in an excessively damp environment) or prolonged stress (such as an unresolved emotional experience or trauma), then corresponding parts of their energy field become disrupted, leading to blockage or deficiency. Conversely, disruptions to the free-flow of our energy results in reduced health, vitality and ability to maintain homeostasis.
In remote Reiki, the therapist connects to and channels universal life force energy into the client’s energy field. The energy naturally flows to the areas where it is needed, helping to release blockages and balance out deficiencies – and gradually restoring balance and harmony to the whole system.

What happens in a Distance Reiki healing session?
Your first distance Reiki session includes an initial video or email consultation to clarifying your intentions for your healing session and share any important information about your medical history.
For you to receive maximum benefit, it is best if you can arrange a time where you will be able to lie/sit down quietly, in a peaceful place where you won’t be disturbed. You are welcome to play soft background music if this helps you to relax. (We don’t usually stay connected via video/audio for the session unless you feel it is necessary for you, but will connect again at the end.)
I will begin the treatment by connecting with you remotely and having the intention to channel Reiki energy into your energy field. The energy will naturally flow to any areas of deficiency or blockage where healing is needed. If you have a particular area of injury or symptom then it is also possible to direct the energy there for part of the session: just let me know beforehand if you have any special requests.
All sessions include a follow-up email summary (or video/audio chat if needed), which allows you to understand and be involved in your healing process.

What will I experience in a Distance Reiki session?
You may experience a range of sensations from simply feeling relaxed or sleepy, to feeling heat, cold or energy running through your body, to old pains, emotions, visual images or memories temporarily surfacing as they are released from your energy field. There is no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ – your healing process is totally individual to you. It can be interesting for you to stay awake and present for your session (you can learn quite a lot about yourself in the process) however, if you happen to fall asleep then rest assured that the healing will still be going to where it is needed.
If any intense emotions or sensations arise, you might like to gently open your eyes and look around you, to help you stay connected with the present moment whilst allowing the emotions to gently surface and release however they need to. Whilst it can feel temporarily intense, the subconscious mind will only release things that you are ready to deal with at any given time.
The healing changes can continue for a few days after the session, most strongly for 24 hours. During this time, it is good to rest as much as you need to, drink lots of water and listen to your body to see if it requires any extra support with the healing process (eg particular kinds of food, extra sleep, self care rituals, more time to yourself to process the emotions or gentle movement).
Who is distance Reiki healing for?
Distance Reiki is beneficial for people who feel stretched, overwhelmed, or out of balance, and are looking for a quiet, gentle way to help their bodies rebalance naturally. Distance healing specifically can suit those who find travel stressful, who physically cannot reach their Reiki practitioner, who feel uncomfortable in physical proximity to others (perhaps due to social anxiety or past trauma), or who feel more relaxed and grounded in their own spaces.
Distance Reiki healing also suits those suffering from physical tension that does not fully ease with rest alone. This can include issues linked to stress, such as headaches, chronic tension, jaw tightness, back discomfort, or ongoing fatigue.
You may not have a specific focus or a clear issue to work with – you may just feel that something is ‘off’ and want to explore the potential of Reiki distance healing to get to the heart of the problem. This is also a very valid starting point.
Distance healing is not intended as a replacement for medical or psychiatric treatment, and may not be suitable in cases of severe mental illness such as psychosis or schizophrenia, for which specialist psychiatric care is more appropriate.

Do I need to do anything during a distance Reiki session
All you need to do is find a quiet, relaxing space where you will not be interrupted. You can lie down or sit comfortably and simply allow the healing to take place. You are welcome to play gentle music during the session if that helps you to relax.
How long does a distance Reiki healing session last?
Sessions vary depending on what you want to achieve, but they’re usually between 30 minutes and 1 hour. An initial session may include additional time for a consultation beforehand.
How many sessions will I need?
This depends a lot on what you need help with and the outcomes you would like. Some people book just one or two sessions for general wellbeing, while others choose to have a course of regular weekly/ fortnightly/ monthly treatments over a period of time in order to address deeper-rooted symptoms or issues.
Is distance Reiki healing safe?
Reiki is a gentle and non-invasive practice. It is completely safe when used alongside appropriate support where needed.
Can distance Reiki healing help with anxiety or stress
