Distance Craniosacral Therapy

At the subtlest level, human beings are comprised of energy and all energy is interconnected, therefore it is easy and effective to connect and work with a person from a distance. I simply visualise gently placing my hands on your feet, head, sacrum and other parts of the body, as if we were in the same room, ‘listening’ to the tensions and restrictions held there, and gently helping your body to relax, release tension and re-balance itself.

Distance Intuitive Healing

A form of energy healing that helps to rebalance the flow of energy in and around your body, and to clear blockages related to chronic tension, pain, injury, symptoms or emotional 'holding patterns'. Distance Reiki Healing

Reiki, meaning ‘universal energy’, is a form of energy healing, which helps to restore ease and balance to a person on all levels – physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. At the subtlest level, everything in existence is comprised of energy, including human beings. When a person is generally relaxed, healthy and living in tune with nature, their energy field will remain strong, balanced and free-flowing. However, if they experience excessive external challenge (such as a severe accident or living in an excessively damp environment) or internal stress (such as unresolved emotional experiences), then corresponding parts of their energy field become disrupted, leading to blockage or deficiency.

What is distance healing treatment?

Distance healing is a gentle form of energy-based work that takes place without physical contact. Instead of being in the same room, the practitioner connects with you remotely and works with your energy field to support balance and relaxation.

The approach is based on the idea that, at a sub-atomic level, everything in existence is made up of particles and waves of energy, including human beings. Whilst our minds perceive us to be solid and separate from our surroundings, we are actually part of an interconnected, universal field of energy. Quantum physics demonstrates how energy can be influenced with thought and intention, even from a distance.  Because of this, it is possible to work with a person’s energy from a distance, in a calm, contained, and gentle manner.

How distance healing differs from in-person healing

In-person healing involves direct physical presence, often with hands-on or close-contact techniques. Distance healing removes that physical, in-person presence, but the intention and focus remain the same.

Many clients find that being in their own space allows them to relax more fully and feel more comfortable. There is no need to travel, adjust to a new environment or to another person in the room. As such, the process tends to feel quieter and clients may be more easily able to internalise the healing.

The practitioner will still focus their efforts on the client’s body and/or energy field remotely, just as they would in person. Passive healing, such as Reiki, involves the channelling of universal healing energy to facilitate a natural rebalancing process. Active healing (such as intuitive healing and distance craniosacral therapy) employs gentle techniques to encourage the release of tension and blockage in order to restore harmony to the whole person.

People can benefit from distance healing if they are suffering from stress, anxiety, or emotional overwhelm, or going through unsettled periods of transition. This may manifest as ongoing tension that is hard to fully release, even at rest. 

Others seek support for physical issues linked to stress or long-term strain, such as headaches and migraines, chronic tension or holding patterns in the body, jaw tightness, back pain, fatigue, and low energy.

How does distance healing treatment work?

The energetic connection process

Each session begins with a period of quiet focus. The practitioner will bring attention to your body or energy field, then work with it directly, using awareness, intention and established healing techniques. 

Rather than trying to forcibly ‘fix’ anything, the healing practitioner will intuitively listen to where tension or imbalance is being held in the body and energy field. From there, they will work with your energy to bring gentle shifts to those areas, allowing the body to release what it is ready to let go of.

What happens before a session?

Prior to the session, the practitioner will check in with you to consult on your needs and set intentions for the healing. This check-in usually takes the form of a video/audio conversation in which you share what you would like to work on and what you’d like the healing to achieve. For follow-up sessions, the discussion of the client’s needs and feedback is often carried out via written communication. 

Some clients come with a clear focus, such as stress, physical discomfort or a specific symptom. Others arrive with a more general sense that something feels “off”. Both are fine – the session does not necessarily need to have a precise goal to be effective.

During the pre-session consultation, you will also be given simple guidance on how to prepare. Usually, this involves finding a quiet space where you can sit or lie comfortably and relax into the healing without interruption.

What happens during a session?

After the session, there is often a period during which your body and mind integrate the changes to your energy. During this time, you may feel a deep sense of relaxation that can verge into tiredness. You may also be more aware of certain emotions or physical sensations. These will settle naturally over time.

It can help to rest and drink plenty of water following the session to help your body and energy adjust. It’s not advised to rush straight back into a busy schedule – take a bit of time out to integrate the healing. Some clients find a period of quiet reflection and grounding helpful. 

You may not feel the healing effects immediately. Changes are often subtle at first, but become clearer over the following days.

When it may not be suitable

Distance healing is not a replacement for medical or psychiatric care. If you are dealing with an acute medical condition that requires surgical or medicinal intervention, you should seek appropriate clinical support.

It may also not be suitable in cases of severe mental illness, including conditions like psychosis or schizophrenia. In cases like this, specialist psychiatric care is more appropriate.

In general, distance healing is best approached as a supportive practice rather than as a primary form of treatment for acute medical or psychiatric conditions.

Distance healing removes many of the practical (and, in some cases, the emotional) barriers that come with in-person appointments. There is no travel, no waiting rooms, no need to adjust to a different environment, and none of the anxieties that some feel in close proximity to others.

Frequently asked questions about distance healing treatment

How long does a distance healing session last?

Sessions typically last between 45 and 60 minutes. The exact length may vary slightly depending on the approach and what arises during the session. Shorter 30-minute Reiki or Intuitive Healing sessions may also be booked.

Do I need to do anything during the session?

The main thing you need to do is to find a quiet, comfortable space where you can relax without interruption, and be open to the healing process.

Can I feel anything during distance healing?

Some clients report feelings of deep relaxation and warmth. Some feel sensations of movement as their energy field changes and blockages release. You may only feel subtle sensations or may fall asleep – both of which are absolutely fine. The healing will still be taking place on the levels where it is needed.

How many sessions will I need?

This varies depending on your individual needs. Some people only need one or two sessions for a gentle rebalancing, whilst others choose to receive sessions regularly over a period of weeks or months to work on more deeply-rooted issues or symptoms. Silvie will work with you to determine what’s best for you and what you need.

Is distance healing safe?

Distance healing is a holistic, non-invasive and supportive process that’s safe when carried out by a trained and intuitive professional.

Can it be done from anywhere in the world?

Distance healing can be done from anywhere in the world. A trained practitioner will be able to work with your energy field, no matter the physical distance between you.
